walking on a dream – Daedalus is one of two interactive installations created for the Room for Wonder exhibition at Groundseesaw, Seoul. The work reflects Greg Goya’s personal journey: from studying law in Turin to pursuing art, stepping beyond expectations to follow his dream. It becomes an invitation to the audience through one simple question: What is your biggest dream? Inspired by the myth of Daedalus and Icarus, the work symbolizes the will to dream again. When Icarus fell, Daedalus did not surrender to despair, he continued to build and create, turning grief into art. Walking on a Dream evokes the moment after disappointment, when innocence and hope rise again. To dream here means not to escape reality, but to recreate it. Like Truman at the end of The Truman Show, climbing celestial stairs and stepping into the unknown, he enters not into darkness, but into space of endless possibilities, a world where everything can be real.
